During my 2 year internship as a Communications Intern for the Office of Undergraduate Education at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, I created a wide variety of print, web, and promotional materials for the University.
The Undergrad Update is a bi-weekly e-newsletter that reaches nearly 20,000 students at the U of M. Along with graphic design student Elizabeth Bazany, I designed and developed a new graphically pleasing layout to grab the attention of the viewer in the midst of all other mass email communications.
The Office of Undergraduate Education shares office space with the College of Liberal Arts Advising Community and The Office for Student Engagement. I designed three office banners that now stand in the entrance of our office space. The design aesthetic was designed to reflect the interior design and architectural details of the Science and Teaching Student Services building.
The Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) survey is an annual survey taken by a majority of undergraduate students at the U of M. The survey gathers information about student engagement in activities that have been empirically shown to influence student learning and positive educational outcomes, both inside and outside of the classroom. To target specific audiences within each college at the University, I designed 7 promotional posters for each college, as well as a bookmark and web graphics.
